CALL:

One of the most representative writers of the literary tradition of Peru, Latin American and universal is a hundred years Altamirano José María Arguedas (1911-1969). His literary, anthropological and ethnological has drawn attention not only of literary critics, linguists, social scientists and philosophers, but also educators and humanists in general. Aware of the relevance of his thought and the urgency of rethinking the cultural and aesthetic challenges that raises their intellectual production, we call on Peruvian intellectuals, scholars and Latin American around the world to participate in this historic tribute of the author of Water (1935), Yawar Fiesta (1941), Diamonds and flint (1954), Deep Rivers (1958), The sixth (1961), All the blood (1964) , Love the world and all the stories (1967), the fox up and down the Fox (1971) and Katatay (1972).

OBJECTIVES:

1. Promote research to develop the many facets of José María Arguedas.
2. Reread the work of José María Arguedas in light of current discussions on the future of culture and Peruvian and Latin American literature.
3. And rapprochement meeting of researchers, scholars, artists and literary critics about the work of José María Arguedas.
4. Exposing a sample bio-bibliography of Jose Maria Arguedas.

AGENDA:

All papers should focus its reflection on the poetry, narrative, ethnographic and anthropological work of José María Arguedas. Within this overall framework is suggested to consider the following agenda:

1. Arguedas: Indians, neoindigenism and Latin American narrative tradition.
2. Literary discourse and the vicissitudes of the representation of the Peruvian nation.
2. The chorus of the poetic tradition in poetry Quechua Arguedas.
3. The teachers Arguedas or the challenge of educating in Peru.
4. Arguedas trials.
5. Arguedas cultural translation.
6. Investigations of oral tradition.
7. Arguedas and the metaphors of American culture.
8. The poetics and politics of cultural representation.
9. Arguedas model and the narrative of post-boom.
10. Arguedas and American literary studies.
11. The challenges of Latin American thought as Arguedas.

METHODOLOGY:

International Congress assumes the dynamics of lectures and panel discussions. At the same time, provides for meetings between researchers, literary critics, artists and intellectuals from various disciplines. In this way seeks to promote the just and fitting tribute to one of the most representative writers of the Peruvian and Latin American literary tradition.
